I wanted to find a restaurant where I can eat by the water and I am so glad that I chose to eat at Mavi waterfront Bar and grill. I ordered a Greek Salad with Salmon on the side. It was so fresh and delicious. I love how they slice the feta instead of sprinkling it on the salad for you! It is definitely worth the price. I also got a happy hour wine ...it was okay, not top shelf, but other than that I enjoyed my experience and I will probably be back!
We were feeling the nice weather today and wanted waterfront dining. Such a great choice going to Mavi for lunch. Phoebe was awesome, so sweet. We shared the conch fritters...they were perfect, not stiff like most places. I had the Greek salad without the cucumbers and bell pepper and added gyro. SO delicious!
This place sits on the water and has live music on the weekends. We got to listen to live country music while we enjoyed our meals and the view. My fish was very good. Our waitress was amazing. Very friendly. I plan to return often. The bar area where the music also had TVs for any sporting event you might want to watch while eating.
Believe me when I tell you we want to give this location 5 ⭐... BUT a few items lost that rating. Let's start with all the good. Parking is ok with only one Handicap spot but other than that street parking is plentiful. Walking in we were surprised as to how big this place is 5 ⭐. Plenty and I mean plenty of inside seating. Outside has two areas, one by the band playing Calispo Music which was nice and not loud or the Sea view area...we chose the latter and 5 ⭐. Anna was our server and did a wonderful job all evening at least 10 ⭐. We ordered drinks which came out on time 5 ⭐. Ordered appetizers and dinner...All came out at the same time. Folks that's not the best way to serve so regretfully that costs you so 3 ⭐. Ok now the food. Clam Chowder .. oh-oh not a great choice as it should be listed as potato paste soup with few if any clams a real disappointment so 1 ⭐. Seared Tuna was very good and fresh but a rather small portion for the $17.00 price so 4 ⭐. Black and Blue salad was outstanding with plenty of steak but somewhat chewy and not a Filet cut as described so 4 ⭐. Bill's French Dip with a side of crispy fries 🍟 was spot on and a nice 5 ⭐ meal for a fish place. As you can see there were a few minor issues, not enough to turn us away but enough to as management and the kitchen to pay a little more attention to their reputation. I can assure you that we will be back but just know we will be asking for the items we mentioned to be paid attention to.
The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. Our server, Nicole, was great.
The food has great appearance, but was disappointed in the Fish & Chips meal. The fries were barely warm like they had been sitting a while before coming to the table. The 3 pieces of fish appeared to be good size but when you cut into them, there was very little fish and a whole lot of batter. We also got the Filet bites as an appetizer. They were okay, but didn't have much flavor.
I realized quickly why this restaurant was empty when we arrived at 7:30 pm. The water tasted like chlorine. The food is just awful. The calamari was so chewy it was barely edible. The seared tuna was over cooked and the sesame seed coating was so thick that it dominated any flavor that the tuna may have had. The conch fritters were chewy in the outside and mushy inside. The only thing that was decent were the fried shrimp. The best part was the cake that we brought with us to celebrate a birthday.
I will not be returning and I will most definitely tell my friends not to eat here.
Really good!! Husband had been looking fish and chips and his only complaint was that he wished there were more pieces, lol. Jonathan was so nice and so funny and I'd absolutely love to come back and sit with him again and enjoy the music and evening on the water.
Had lunch there while the Blue Angels were in town. We sat at the tables under the tent near the stage/outside bar. Great live music and atmosphere on the water.
